These are the expectations that I have for everyone entering my classroom.

Mr. Erkenswick’s Grading Policy
Assessment: Your Social Studies grade will be based on a point system. Formative assignments (bell-work, homework, quizzes, student in-class assignments) are worth 40% of your grade, while summative assessments (tests and projects) are worth 60% of your grade.
100 – 90 A
89 – 80 B
79 – 70 C
69 – 60 D
Below 59 F
These are the expectations that I have for everyone entering my classroom.
Expectations:
I expect you……..
- To come to class prepared with materials and ready to learn
- To be kind and respectful to your classmates
- To respect the teacher or guest teacher
- To respect my materials - if you abuse it you lose it...
- To try your best at all times
- To ask questions when not understanding and just ask for help
- To work within your group to help each other learn
- To do work on board and be able to explain
- To teach each other and talk at the appropriate times.
- To have fun, as we learn
Mr Erkenswick’s Social Studies Class Procedures
- Be on time to class, by Entering room quickly and quietly
- Fill out planner with the homework (back of the room Bulletin board)
- Read the board for the agenda of the day
- start on Question of the Day (QOD)
- Have homework Ready
- Raise hand to ask a question
- Work together on work, discuss the problems together (ask others before me)
- When it is time to transition to another center or topic, do so in a timely manner
